Finlandia and FINNZONE launch cooperation with XES Helsinki Student Entrepreneurial Community

First transatlantic entrepreneurial presentations scheduled for November 17

Finlandia University’s Business Professionals of America (BPA) chapter and FINNZONE have launched a new initiative with the XES student entrepreneurial community from Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki, FinlandThe first Testing Tuesday: US Edition is scheduled for November 17 at 9 am Michigan time and will feature live video business plan presentations by XES and other Helsinki-based entrepreneurs. The entrepreneurs will then receive feedback and advice from a panel of business experts from FINNZONE and the Keweenaw’s business network.  The overall goal is to develop relations with the XES community, to share ideas, and to explore actual business opportunities.

According to XES Mentor Tuukka Ylälahti “Opportunity creation is an essential skill and activity for an entrepreneur. Connecting with the coaches from FinnZone is a great chance for Finnish entrepreneurs to gain feedback on their products to see if there is an opportunity for their product in the US market. The possibility to form long-term connections between Finland and the US makes this event a win-win!”

Finlandia’s Business Professionals of America (BPA) students will take the lead in working with XES leadership to organize and promote the event. The plan is that this will be the first in a line of presentations between members of this new partnership. XES is organized in collaboration with the Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences and the Haaga Helia Start-Up School.
