Highlights from September and October’s 1 Million Cups Meetings
This fall, the Keweenaw’s local leaders gathered over coffee at The Continental Fire Co. to continue the nationwide tradition of connecting entrepreneurs, innovators and community members eager to support small businesses and new ideas.
The gathering is known as 1 Million cups, a program dedicated to educating and inspiring entrepreneurs on Wednesday mornings. The meeting is designed to connect small businesses owners with community members eager to provide assistance in any capacity.
In September, Nathaniel Vogler, founder of EdaptX Marketing, took the stage to show how his unique marketing firm helps businesses thrive in an ever-changing digital space. Following that, Elizabeth Mitteer of Agate Vacations delivered a presentation highlighting her agency’s focus on designing seamless, customized vacation experiences for clients across the Copper Country and beyond.
This October, Luke Aho, who represented Superior Fishing Products, discussed his company’s vision to supply the region with high-quality, customizable fishing gear. Hannah Stone also showcased her family-owned, in-house cartography business, Michigan Maps.
Through 1 Million Cups, these entrepreneurs were able to gain valuable insights, network, and encouragement from the community.
“1 Million Cups was a fantastic opportunity to receive direct feedback on EdaptX from my local community. It wasn’t just another presentation, it was a chance to gather insights from my most important stakeholders: the local businesses we aim to serve.” – Nathaniel Vogler, EdaptX Marketing
By providing a space to connect emerging business owners with seasoned professionals and a vast library community resources, 1 Million Cups creates an environment where new ideas can flourish.
This initiative continues to champion ideas and support solutions that help individuals and their communities thrive. Whether you’re an entrepreneur looking to share your story, or a community member ready to share wisdom, 1 Million Cups is your path to the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.
